Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, local communities and Tribes will get resources they need to prevent pedestrian injuries and deaths. I will keep working to bring home federal dollars to make Northwest Washington roads safer.

$66 million is a massive win for Blaine that will make Bell Road safer and less congested while creating jobs. Mount Vernon is at the start of the planning process to identify which crossings to improve, and I will continue to work with local leaders to fight for many more projects in the future.

Juan Martinez has spent more than two months in a detention center because of the Trump administration’s dangerous deportation agenda. He deserves to return to his community in Conway and receive his green card as soon as possible, and I will keep fighting to make that happen.

A new USPS policy could cause some legal ballots which were turned in on time to be thrown out. I urge voters to follow the guidance of local election officials and put their ballots in an official drop box to bypass the postmarking process. I am pushing USPS to change this new policy.

I am concerned about reports that agents who should be investigating child and drug trafficking in Northwest Washington are instead conducting civil immigration enforcement. I will keep pushing to get answers and accountability for my community about ICE’s local operations.
